Venezuelan Foreign Minister Elias Jaua was in Egypt since Wednesday arranging assistance by the Venezuelan government to the Palestinian children. The foreign minister held talks with representatives of UNHCR and UNICEF regarding details of transporting the children to Venezuela.


(Telesur) – Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Elias Jaua estimated this weekend, that the first Palestinian children, who are victims of Israeli aggression will be arriving  to Venezuela. The children will be  housed at shelters, made available by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
In an interview Thursday at the Venezuelan Union Radio, and broadcasted by the Foreign Ministry,  Jaua said that “in the coming hours, maybe before  the weekend  a number of Palestinian  children will be arriving to Venezuela , who have been orphaned or needing medical treatment that may be provided by Venezuela.
In this sense, the Venezuelan foreign minister, who since Wednesday is in Egypt arranging the Venezuelan assistance to the children, explained they are in talks with representatives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Fund United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef), to coordinate all matters relating to transportation, as set out in international standards.
Also Jaua stressed that “the Venezuelan government is acting within the legal framework established by the Constitution, in Article 152, which states that our country needs to be united internationally and help people in their struggle for independence and sovereignty” .
He added that there are plans by the Bolivian National Armed Forces (FANB) for planes will be arriving to Egypt between Monday and Tuesday, with six tons in aid donated by the Venezuelan people.
